In March 1997, we launched the Physicians' Speakers Series to provide county employee's the opportunity to meet the physicians on the Workers' Compensation Panel and learn helpful information about medical recovery issues that may arise during rehabilitation/return to work process. Because of its success, we have expanded the scope of these presentations to include other health-related professionals as speakers and renamed the program the Employee Health & Wellness Series. The objective of this program is to heighten employee awareness of injury and prevention, care and management of disabling injuries, and the value of a healthy mind and body.
