Criminal Justice Academy
Welcome to the Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy. Our mission is to provide the residents of Fairfax County with the most highly trained, competent, capable and professional law enforcement officers. The Academy was established in 1985 and is accredited by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission.
The Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy serves the Fairfax County Police Department, the Fairfax County Sheriff's Office, the towns of Herndon and Vienna Police Departments and the Fairfax County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Our training environment instills a culture of integrity, safety, excellence, professionalism, leadership, continual learning and service to our community. Through the promotion of the tenets of our training culture, all of our students are challenged to always commit themselves to protecting and enriching the quality of life for the people who reside and work in our neighborhoods and diverse communities.
On behalf of the member agencies of the Academy, we are proud to serve our communities. We welcome your input. If you are interested in getting a first-hand look or learning more about our Academy, please contact us by phone, 703-449-7200 (TTY 711), or by e-mail.
