Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office Announces College Scholarship Opportunity

The Fairfax County Sheriff's Office announces that the Virginia Sheriffs' Institute (VSI) Scholarship Program is accepting applications. This program provides an opportunity for young people across Virginia to pursue an educational curriculum in criminal justice.
Scholarships are awarded to students studying in the field of criminal justice at a Virginia college or university. The scholarships are available to both full- and part-time students. As part of the application process, Sheriff Stan Barry must submit a letter of recommendation on behalf of the applicant. To obtain a letter of recommendation, please e-mail Lieutenant Sonny Cachuela or call 703-246-3251 (TTY 711 or hearing impaired).

Founded in 1981, the Virginia Sheriffs' Institute is a non-profit professional and educational organization. Sheriff Barry is a member of VSI and participates in the scholarship fundraising efforts.
