Sheriff’s Office Partners with Target for "Safe Kids" Event, July 21
July 12, 2012
The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office will partner with the Burke-area Target to offer FREE child safety seat inspections and child ID cards with fingerprints on Saturday, July 21 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their vehicles, safety seats and children to the parking lot of the Target store at 10301 Guinea Road, Fairfax, Va. Trained deputies will ensure that children fit securely in the safety seats and that the safety seats fit securely in the vehicle seat. At the child ID booth, the Sheriff’s Office will provide parents with an ID card that includes a digital photo and a set of the child’s fingerprints—using quick, clean inkless technology.
Scottos Rigatoni Grille in Centreville will provide free pizzas at the event. The rain date is July 28.
If county residents are unable to attend the Target event, they are welcome to come to the Sheriff’s Safety Seat Saturday at the Fairfax County Public Safety Center on the last Saturday of every month (3rd Saturday in November). The location is in the public parking garage, 10550 Page Avenue, Fairfax, Va. Upcoming events are on July 28 and August 25. Child ID events are scheduled throughout the year.
