Jail Graduation

The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office and Fairfax County Public Schools are proud to announce the graduation of nine students who have earned their General Educational Development Certificate while incarcerated in the Adult Detention Center.

Statistics have shown repeatedly that educational attainment while incarcerated is a key ingredient to reducing recidivism and, as a result, helps to make Fairfax County a safer place to live.

"Both agencies are proud of the achievements of these nine students, and we wish them well as they move forward in their lives," said Sheriff Stan Barry.
