Shop with the Sheriff

Deputy sheriff takes a boy shopping at Target.

At the end of every summer, the Fairfax County Sheriff's Office takes children who are homeless on a back-to-school shopping trip at the Target in Burke, Va. Since 1992, Shop with the Sheriff has paired deputies and other Sheriff's Office staff with school-aged children temporarily residing at the county's emergency shelters. The Sheriff's Office raises enough money to give each of about 40 children a $250 gift card to spend on clothing, shoes and accessories.

The Sheriff's Office thanks the following businesses and organizations for their generous donations to help make the 2015 program so successful. Read about this year's Shop with the Sheriff event.
