Shop with the Sheriff

Deputy sheriff takes a boy shopping at Target.

At the end of every summer, the Fairfax County Sheriff's Office takes children who are homeless on a back-to-school shopping spree at the Target in Burke, Va. Since 1992, Shop with the Sheriff has paired deputies and other Sheriff's Office staff with school-aged children temporarily residing at the county's emergency shelters. This year children will come from the Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter in Fairfax, Patrick Henry Family Shelter in Falls Church and Next Steps Family Shelter in Alexandria

The Sheriff's Office thanks the following businesses and organizations for their generous donations to help make the 2014 program so successful. Read about the last Shop with the Sheriff event.
