Sully District Starlight Cinema
August 27th Movie Rescheduled
Sully District Starlight Cinema has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 17, 2011 due to the weather forecast for this Saturday. Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the movie will start at dark.
Welcome to the seventh year of Sully
District Starlight Cinema. The movie nights are designed to bring the
community together and nurture community spirit. The program is modeled
after the Park Authority's summer concert series held throughout the
county and in 2011 will provide four drive-in movies, free for the public
to enjoy, on August 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. Gate opens at 6pm and
movies begin at dark. Movies selected are chosen to appeal to the
whole community--films that parents can bring their children to, but
adults can also enjoy. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Feel free
to bring a picnic, blanket, and chairs and visit with your neighbors
under the stars. The fun begins before the movie with children's games,
provided by New Life Christian Church, music, and vendors selling pizza,
ice cream, popcorn, and other movie treats. Held at Trinity Centre, Sully
District Starlight Cinema is made possible through a partnership of the
Park Authority, KSI/Clark construction (the owners of Trinity Centre) and
private donations. Volunteers are welcome. If you are interested in
becoming involved please contact my office at 703- 814-7100. I look
forward to seeing you as we watch "Movies Under the
Starlight!"
Sincerely,
Michael R. Frey
