TextDetailed Planning for Public Facilities
The Comprehensive Plan calls for the development of detailed plans for the provisions of public facilities for a district or subdistrict, including parks and athletic fields, be in place prior to or concurrent with the first rezoning approval in that district or subdistrict. To create these detailed plans, a multi-disciplinary team was assembled in mid-2010 comprised of representatives from the agencies and organizations responsible for providing the anticipated public facilities in Tysons. The team is working diligently to refine the recommendations contained in the Comprehensive Plan. Below is a timeline of their work. A map of proposed public facility locations was also developed.
