FOSTER CARE - RESPITE CARE - CHILDREN
Provides short-term (less than 30 days) foster care for at-risk children ages infant to 18 years. The child or teen is matched with an appropriate respite family in the community with ongoing coordination from the referring agency. These respite homes give ongoing caregivers a needed break and help stabilize or prevent a crisis situation. The program serves biological, adoptive, and foster families. Respite parents receive 24 hours of training over three weekends, home studies, yearly evaluations, and ongoing support.
