ADVOCACY - COMMUNITY - DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Works with state and federal policy leaders and agencies to shape legislative and policy changes on issues that affect victims and survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Works with local DV agencies to understand community needs, provides guidance to members on how to work with elected officials, and how to support local service providers. Advocates on behalf of Alliance membership in the Virginia General Assembly and Congress. Works with state partners and agencies to develop and promote effective laws and policies.
