The Frankie Addison Band

At an early age, Frankie Addison demonstrated his commitment to excellence in music while at Terrell Jr. High then later at Shaw Jr. High School, as he performed and traveled with the marching band, jazz ensemble, and concert band. However, it was at the Duke Ellington School for the Performing Arts where he released his creative talents as a musician, and classical and jazz saxophonist. Frankie formed his own jazz group, "Front Line Jazz Ensemble”, at the age of 17. Under his direction, the “Ensemble” performed as the opening act for well-known artists such as Nancy Wilson, Stanley Turrentine and Betty Carter, as well as appearing on the “Oprah Winfrey Show.”
