Local health departments like ours must be ready to handle many different types of emergencies that threaten the health and safety of individuals, families and communities—work that requires constant planning, training and coordination.  Fairfax County’s Director of Health, Dr. Gloria Addo-Ayensu, and Public Health Emergency Management Coordinator, Jesse Habourn, discuss what is involved in being prepared.
