Kambiz Agazi,

Join A HomeWise Webinar on Preventing Heat Loss and Sealing Air Leaks

The Fairfax County HomeWise program is pleased to announce a webinar on preventing heat loss and sealing air leaks, taking place on Tuesday, February 22 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM.

You pay for your heat, don't lose precious warm air to cracks and gaps around the exterior of your home. Learn how to spot potential problem areas, which tools to use to assess your home's windows and doors, and how to make simple repairs that can save you money and make your home more comfortable. Join HomeWise volunteers as they share tips and tricks to reduce your energy bills through simple, common sense home improvement projects and behavior changes.

This webinar will include a presentation and a question-and-answer session. Volunteers will be prepared to answer questions like…

How can I handle tricky weatherstripping that won’t quite fit with my door or window?

How should I go about identifying air leaks?

How can I maintain safe and comfortable conditions in my home?

What sort of cost savings can I expect when I complete projects to seal air leaks?>

What are the environmental impacts of making small changes to better seal my home?

This webinar is the first in a series of monthly educational offerings from the HomeWise program to  empower and enable low- and moderate-income residents to make changes that reduce energy use, water use, and associated costs in their homes.
