Energy Use in Public Safety Buildings

Public safety facilities include police stations, fire stations, district government centers, and training facilities. The graph below shows equivalent carbon emissions from electricity and natural gas used at public safety facilities in 2006 and 2020. The graphs on this page show annual electricity and natural gas use from 2006 through 2021. The McConnell Public Safety and Transportation Operations Center, which houses the county’s emergency operations, came online in August 2008.

The graph above shows the equivalent carbon emissions from electricity and natural gas used at Public Safety Facilities from FY 2018 to FY 2022, indicating a 15% decrease. 

 

Electricity Use in Public Safety Facilities

The graph above shows the total electricity consumption in Public Safety Facilities from FY 2018 through FY 2022.  During this time, there was a 5% reduction in consumption.

Natural Gas Use in Public Safety Facilities
