Acting Director
All members of the public were welcome to join a virtual public meeting with members of the Resilient Fairfax team on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM via Zoom. Resilient Fairfax encompasses the development of a comprehensive Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan for the county and the community, as well as the implementation of strategies to reduce climate risks to county residents, businesses, and infrastructure.
This meeting allowed staff to gather public feedback on the county's anticipated climate change vulnerabilities. Attendees were asked to provide input on strategies they would like to see adapted to their communities. Staff shared the results of a recently completed climate projections report and the findings of a vulnerability and risk assessment for the county.
