Pizza, parfaits, and sweet treats, “Oh my”! That’s exactly what was cookin’ at September’s bimonthly BeFriend-A-Child Mentoring activity! BeFriend partnered with Fairfax County 4-H, the local chapter of one of the largest youth development organizations in the United States. This collaboration was all about teaching BeFriend-A-Child mentees about kitchen safety and cooking! 

4H allowed the mentors and mentees to lead the charge in cooking up some fun, and as it turns out, there are quite a few aspiring chefs in the group! After enjoying the decadent food they prepared, the mentors and mentees danced and played a few games to work off the calories and round out the day!
