Date:  December 23, 2013

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire, Friday, December 20, 2013, at approximately 3:15 a.m., in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County. The single-family home is located at 2142 Haycock Road.

Firefighters encountered heavy fire and smoke coming from the entire roof of the four-story home upon arrival. The recently constructed home was for sale and vacant. There were no injuries.

The home is a complete loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
