Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Strategic Plan Goals and Resources Panel Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 6:30 p.m. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Strategic Plan Goals and Resources Panel (GRP) will hold its first public meeting on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax VA 22035) in conference room 9/10. In July 2018, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the creation of the GRP – a group of community members with a wide variety of affordable housing experience – to provide the Board with recommendations for the preservation and production of housing over the next 15 years that is affordable to those earning 60 percent of the area median income (AMI) and below. Recommendations from the panel will be provided to the Board in time for inclusion in the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget guidelines. This is a continuation of efforts that began in Phase 1 of the Communitywide Housing Strategic Plan (https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/housing/communitywideplan), and represents the County’s commitment to recognizing and addressing affordable housing needs now and in the future. Interested residents are invited to attend this first meeting of the GRP. The hearing is being conducted in compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requirements for Public Housing Agencies submitting a MTW Plan. The public hearing will be held at 4500 University Drive, Fairfax, VA at 7 p.m. on March 7, 2019. Interested residents are invited to share their views on the draft FCRHA MTW Plan at the public hearing. The draft Plan is available for public review on the county website www.fairfaxcounty.gov/housing/initiatives, or here,  and at the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development, 3700 Pender Drive, Suite 300, Fairfax, VA, or by calling 703-279-7302.
