Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Strategic Plan Goals and Resources Panel Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 6:30 p.m. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Strategic Plan Goals and Resources Panel (GRP) will hold its first public meeting on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax VA 22035) in conference room 9/10. In July 2018, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the creation of the GRP – a group of community members with a wide variety of affordable housing experience – to provide the Board with recommendations for the preservation and production of housing over the next 15 years that is affordable to those earning 60 percent of the area median income (AMI) and below. Recommendations from the panel will be provided to the Board in time for inclusion in the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget guidelines. This is a continuation of efforts that began in Phase 1 of the Communitywide Housing Strategic Plan (https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/housing/communitywideplan), and represents the County’s commitment to recognizing and addressing affordable housing needs now and in the future. Interested residents are invited to attend this first meeting of the GRP. The Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has prepared a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019.  The FY 2019 CAPER evaluates the county’s use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program funds for the period from July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019.  Members of the public are invited to review the draft report and provide comments before the final draft is submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Copies of the draft FY 2019 CAPER will be available and comments will be received beginning Friday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 16, at the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development, 3700 Pender Drive, Fairfax, Virginia, 22030, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The report will also be available for this same period of time at the following Fairfax County Public Libraries: Reston Regional, Centreville Regional, Sherwood Regional, and Patrick Henry.  The document will also be available online below.
