Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Strategic Plan Goals and Resources Panel Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 6:30 p.m. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Strategic Plan Goals and Resources Panel (GRP) will hold its first public meeting on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax VA 22035) in conference room 9/10. In July 2018, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the creation of the GRP – a group of community members with a wide variety of affordable housing experience – to provide the Board with recommendations for the preservation and production of housing over the next 15 years that is affordable to those earning 60 percent of the area median income (AMI) and below. Recommendations from the panel will be provided to the Board in time for inclusion in the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget guidelines. This is a continuation of efforts that began in Phase 1 of the Communitywide Housing Strategic Plan (https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/housing/communitywideplan), and represents the County’s commitment to recognizing and addressing affordable housing needs now and in the future. Interested residents are invited to attend this first meeting of the GRP.
