The Independent Living Project is a free eight-week series that helps older adults stay in their home as long as they would like. It includes a gentle exercise program that improves strength and balance, presentations on county services, a healthy cooking demonstration, advice on how to manage your health care and prescriptions, and much more. The group is led by professional social workers. Participation in the full program is advised. Space is limited, and preregistration is required.
