Northern Virginia ICD-10 Training Registration
May 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2015
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) have mandated that the healthcare industry transition to ICD-10 Diagnostic Codes effective October 1, 2015. The mandated transition to ICD-10 requires that staff be trained in ICD-10 and that agencies plan to ensure readiness for the transition. The DSM has aligned with previous versions of the ICD, however, this is no longer the case.
Health Planning Region II (City of Alexandria and Arlington, Fairfax-Falls Church, Loudoun and Prince William CSBs) are pleased to sponsor comprehensive ICD-10 training for clinical and operational staff. The ICD-10 training is a one-day event, which will be offered four times for clinical staff members, and one time for operational staff. Please pay close attention to the session you're registering for.
Sign-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and each day's training will begin promptly at 9 a.m. This is a full-day training, with a one-hour lunch break.
Contact hours will awarded for ICD-10 for course time only and will exclude lunch and break times. Contact hours may be submitted by an individual to their licensing/certification boards for conversion to CEUs. Partial contact hours and certificates will not be awarded to those that do not participate in the full day of training.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Food and beverages are not allowed in the Fairfax County Board Auditorium. Registration and security staff will enforce the strict policy. Thank you for your cooperation.
PLEASE NOTE: The May 4, 5 and 8 training dates are FULL.
Training participants should bring with them a copy of the confirmation email received upon registration. Participants MUST also either print the appropriate materials and bring
them to training, bring a laptop/notebook, Kindle, iPad, etc. to access the materials instead of printing. (It is advisable that you download the document to your device ahead of time rather than relying on Wi-Fi at your training location.) Copies of the handouts will not be available at registration. Please note these are large files – suggested
to print 2-sided.
