Description:

Located in the Alexandria office, but location may change based on the needs of the program. Works as part of a team that provides case management, center operations, and community and business development for the Employment and Training program. Supports the operation of various employment programs, including the Virginia Initiative for Employment not Welfare (VIEW), Bridges, and other federal and state funded grants. Determines eligibility and assesses occupational skills and support service needs. Coordinates referred services with partner programs, provides day-to-day operational support to the Bridges program, acting as a resource for internal and external clients and service providers, and organizes and delivers staff and partner trainings. Identifies available therapeutic services and develops professional relationships with organizations and employers whose mission is training and employment for people with disabilities. Duties will also include developing and implementing enhanced services based on performance goals and recent outcomes. Participation in job fairs and related activities requires some evening and/or weekend work. Some local travel is required.

 

Minimum
Qualifications:

Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree, plus two years of professional work experience.

 

Special
Requirements:

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, and a driver's license check to the satisfaction of the employer.

 

Preferred
Qualifications:

Bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish. Clear and concise oral and written communications skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This is a grant funded position. It is anticipated that funding will be renewed upon grant expiration.
