$21.70 to $28.93/hour  (Grade S20)

This position is a part-time, jobshare weekend overnight shift vacancy at Foundations (12720 Lee Highway, Fairfax, Virginia). Foundations is a community-based residential group home for adolescent girls who are between the ages of 14 to 18 years old and are on probation or parole.

The primary goal is to ensure the health and physical well-being of the residents by providing constant supervision and structured activities. Overnight staff monitors facility operations, building safety, maintenance, and security. Staff ensures the health care and physical well-being of residents through the administration of prescription and non-prescription medication according to state standards. Conducts assessments of client's needs and provides individual and group counseling. Assists residents in reducing their chronic delinquent behavior by teaching them to accept personal responsibility through the implementation of the behavior management program and their individual treatment plan. Operates a 15-passenger van.



Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree.



The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, and a driver's license check to the satisfaction of the employer as a condition of hiring and periodically thereafter. First Aid and CPR certification, Medication Administration certification within a specified time frame after the appointment and recertification annually thereafter. Must have a valid driver's license in state of residence.



A baccalaureate degree in psychology, social work, or related human service field. Experience working in a residential setting with children or adolescents. Ability to work with complex behavioral problems and respond to crisis situations and maintain appropriate boundaries with residents. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.



In addition to a panel interview, a written exercise will be administered.
