Description:

This is an exciting Senior Clinician position providing assessment, therapy, and case management services to children, adolescents and families. The position is located at the South County Human Service Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Operates within a treatment-team environment to provide mental health and substance use treatments including individual, group, and family therapy services that utilize evidence-based therapies. Case management includes medication monitoring, Comprehensive Services Act functions, as well as accessing resources with families. Performs database record-keeping pursuant to CSB, state, and federal requirements; revenue documentation requirements are insurance and Medicaid. Other duties include effective utilization management for caseload and site management, and program evaluation/development.

 

Minimum
Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college with at least a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or nursing; plus two years of clinical experience.

 

Special
Requirements:

Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner. The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, an Office of the Inspector General (OIG) check and a check of the Child Protective Services Registry to the satisfaction of the employer. TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter. Must possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license.

 

Preferred
Qualifications:

Experience in individual, group and family treatment. Experience serving youth with mental health and substance use disorders. Enjoys working with youth and families. Must be able to function well in a team environment.

Panel interview and written exercises may be given at interview.

 

Note:

The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. three days, and with a minimum of two evenings per week from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
