This announcement may be used to fill multiple positions within the Court Technology Office.

For the newly established District Court Technology Office, this Analyst works in a matrix management organizational environment in which work may be performed under the direction of several program managers. Court technology areas include Court LAN and Applications, Courtroom Technology and Architecture & Infrastructure Management. Provides Tier-I technical support in the diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software problems with court information technology systems on the Enterprise LAN/WAN/I-Net and Wireless (WLAN and Wi-Fi) network, to include Internet/intranet applications. Provides support for complex audiovisual systems in use throughout the courthouse related to Courtrooms and Conferencing Solutions. Provides technical support in the daily operation and maintenance of the Courthouse and Courtrooms for their respective information technology assets. The information technology assets are desktop workstations, servers, printers, audiovisual equipment, and seat management of software installation and licensure. Requires working with client/vendor/contractor staff in task-based work. Assists, as required, in receiving, recording, and responding to help desk calls. Supports county standards and compliance. Performs Move, Add and Change (MAC) orders using the county standard request and change management system and methods. After hours and weekend support may be required in both emergency and planned events. Works in a team setting to develop solutions and assist with documentation and planning. Provides both formalized and ad hoc training to end users. Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, additional morning, evening and weekend hours may be required as needed to complete projects, conduct maintenance and upgrades, respond to callbacks and assign during weather/power emergencies to protect county equipment and data.



Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following: Possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus two years network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields.



The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, and a driver's license check to the satisfaction of the employer as a condition of hiring and periodically thereafter. Must have a valid driver's license in state of residence.



At least 18 months of hands-on experience supporting LAN and WAN based systems and basic knowledge of audio/video systems. A Bachelor of Science degree in a computer-related discipline and one-year of hands-on experience may be substituted. This position requires educational experience with servers and networked equipment, inclusive of infrastructure and topology. Familiarity with computer system and device management methodologies for service updates to operating systems, firmware and critical services such as anti-virus and client application connectivity.
