Position is located at 4100 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, Virginia. Serves as a police polygraph examiner assigned to the Administrative Support Bureau. Administers polygraph examinations in support of applicant, criminal and administrative investigations. Assists in applicant recruitment, testing and initial screening. Performs other duties as necessary.



Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to high school graduation or a G.E.D. issued by a state department of education; plus graduation from an accredited polygraph school approved or recognized by the American Polygraph Association; plus three years of polygraph examination experience, preferably in law enforcement and pre-employment/criminal examinations.



Must be a licensed Polygraph Examiner in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.



Preferred candidates will have investigative experience including full-time polygraph experience administering polygraph examinations; strong oral, and written communication skills with experience in interviewing and interrogation; the ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge in administering polygraph examinations; and computer experience. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.



In addition to a panel interview, candidates will be required to submit two polygraph examinations they have conducted including copies of charts, notes, reports, and video recordings.
