ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II

Description:

Location: Herndon/Reston District Office. Supports various functions, such as clinic and dental services. Performs the following tasks: billing; records management; customer service (greeting clients, receiving incoming telephone calls, etc.). Prepares reports; enters data; schedules clients for appointments; receives and secures monies collected; opens/closes medical records; and sorts/distributes mail.

 

Minimum
Qualifications:

Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from high school; plus one year of experience providing administrative support.

 

Special
Requirements:

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

 

Preferred
Qualifications:

Health Department experience and knowledge of specific policies and procedures. Customer service experience. Experience in records management and data entry. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience using electronic medical records; and with billing medical insurance.
