$35,896 to $47,861  (Grade S15)

Serves as a member of the Criminal Case Processing Team of the Circuit Court. Performs a wide range of duties in processing criminal cases. Duties may include, but are not limited to, processing felony cases, misdemeanors, traffic violation appeals, juvenile appeals, subpoenas, extraditions, court orders, search warrants; and debt collection and calculation of fines, costs, and interest. All criminal processing transactions must be accurate and performed in a timely manner. Performs a variety of financial operations as required by specific documents, cases, or judgments using the court case management system. Functions as a customer service representative for the Criminal Case Processing Team on the phone, in person, and through correspondence. Maintains, initiates, updates, and manages case files, both electronic and paper for use by the public, staff, judges, lawyers, courtroom clerks and other county and state agencies and courts. Performs related duties as required; duties are performed under general supervision.



Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from high school; plus two years of experience providing administrative support.



The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.



Experience in a court or legal environment. Excellent organizational and customer service skills. Financial experience with attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment; exercise tact, discretion, initiative, and independent judgment; administer multiple complex tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment; and handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality. Experience using Microsoft Office computer software, especially Word, Outlook and Excel. Database experience.



As part of the interview process, a basic administrative test will be administered.
