HUMAN RESOURCES ANALYST II

Description:

Serves as a business partner and consultant to public safety departments, providing innovative and tailored approaches to testing and assessment centers for promotional opportunities.

-- Performs job analysis and currency analysis of public safety job classifications using accepted industry standards.
-- Assists with the development and validation of various types of examinations, including but not limited to Multiple Choice, Practical exercises, Job simulations, In Baskets, Oral Boards, etc.
-- Works with public safety command staff and Human Resources staff to develop examination plans and strategies for addressing staffing needs and provides input for job announcements associated with promotional testing.
-- Develops and generates written correspondence to candidates to include but not be limited to schedule announcements, score reports, etc., using Microsoft Word mail merge functions. Schedules and administers various types of public safety assessments.
-- Serves as the lead test monitor to provide responses to candidate questions and to ensure test security and document anomalies in the testing process. Coordinates and provides training for exercise raters and role players to facilitate promotional processes.
-- Maintains project schedules for various promotional exams to track development progress and to keep projects on target. Facilitates post-process review sessions with candidates involved with promotional examinations.
-- Maintains project files for all public safety promotional processes. Responsible for packaging project documents for storage and coordinating that storage with records retention.

 

Minimum
Qualifications:

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in personnel administration, public administration, or a related field plus two years of professional-level human resources experience.

 

Preferred
Qualifications:

Ability to summarize complex projects and write complex documents. Ability to process and integrate complex data sets related to test results. Ability to take raw information regarding job duties and formulate effective measurement schemes. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both external and internal contacts. Ability to offer factual responses to inquires under emotionally charged conditions. Willingness to take unpopular position in emotionally charged discussions. Ability to manage meetings in order to maintain schedules and to produce effective outcomes.
