SERVICE COORDINATOR
(Intellectual Disability Specialist II)

Description:

Provides specialized service coordination to eligible infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. Coordinates and monitors Individual Family Service Plans and ensures families are aware of their rights under Part C of IDEA. Conducts developmental screenings. Works as a team with speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators. Main office is in Fairfax City with four regional offices located throughout the county.

 

Minimum
Qualifications:

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.

 

Special
Requirements:

All employment offers are contingent upon the completion of a criminal background check, an Office of the Inspector General (OIG) check and a check of the Child Protective Services Registry to the satisfaction of the employer. Requires a valid driver's license.

 

Preferred
Qualifications:

Experience with Part C programs and/or working with infants and families. Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Note:

This position may be underfilled by a less experienced person at the Intellectual Disability Specialist I level (Grade S20, $45,137 to $60,183). Minimum qualifications for an Intellectual Disability Specialist I are: Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
