NETWORK/TELECOMMUNICATIONS ANALYST III

Description:

National award-winning government cable television channel seeks a results-oriented senior television engineer with strong supervisory and organizational skills. Supervises engineering and conference center staff. Oversees technical operations of government television cable channel, internal training network, and facility audio/visual systems. Supports file-based single-camera field, multi-camera studio and remote productions, editing and transmission equipment. Manages distribution of programming on cable channels and through video streaming. Leads engineering staff to provide system design, procurement and implementation of county projects including SD to HD transition, installation of file-based HD editing and production equipment, and video conferencing. Project management, cost control and inventory management experience.

 

Minimum
Qualifications:

Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus four years of network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields; plus two years of experience in network or telecommunications system design, analysis, installation, and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer prior to employment.

 

Preferred
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; plus five years of professional experience in video engineering. Experience in maintenance and repair of broadcast equipment, installation and configuration of equipment, recordkeeping and satellite downlinking.
