Tom Angleberger

Tom Angleberger.Tom Angleberger, author of the Origami Yoda series and other books for middle-school readers, was interviewed for BookCast by Library Director Sam Clay.

BookCast is a project developed with the generous support of the Fairfax Library Foundation. It is a production of Channel 16, the Fairfax County Government Channel in cooperation with the Fairfax County Public Library. 

Tom Angleberger launched his New York Times bestselling Origami Yoda series for middle school readers with The Strange Case of Origami Yoda, followed by such titles as Darth Paper Strikes Back, The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppett, R-2, D-2’s Guide to Folding and Doodling and The Secret of the Fortune Wookie.

A former newspaper reporter and columnist, juggler, weed boy, lawn mower part assembler, biology research assistant (bug larvae and plant diseases), Angleberger now describes himself as an “author and illustrator and keeper of”

His inspirations include “Star Wars, Fumiaki Kawahata, Daniel Pinkwater, my own personal social disasters.”
