Kids shouldn't have all the fun — adults like reading and receiving incentives, too!

After the resounding success of FCPL’s inaugural systemwide Adult Summer Reading Program last year, it’s back again for ages 18 and up. For this summer’s virtual program, we invite you play our gameboard of 15 challenges, read or listen to 15 books, or complete any combination of the two to total 15 activities.

How It Works

• Download Challenges
• On June 12, adults can download an adult summer reading gameboard or a text-only version. The challenges on the gameboard are also available on the adult summer reading website.

• Three Prize Milestones
• The gameboard is divided into three prize milestones. Play the game by completing the challenges, and, when you reach each prize milestone, submit a form to be entered into a random drawing for one of two Amazon e-gift cards (limit one entry per person per milestone).

• Books Count, Too
• Don’t want to complete some (or any) of the gameboard challenges? Read or listen to a book of your choice instead.

Enter for the Chance to Win

When you reach a prize milestone and submit a form, you’ll be entered for the chance to win an Amazon e-gift card in the following amounts:

• Prize Milestone 1 — $100
• Prize Milestone 2 — $150
• Prize Milestone 3 — $200

You will have until August 14 to play the game, reach the prize milestones and submit your entry forms. Winners will be notified by email or phone by August 31. For more information, visit research.fairfaxcounty.gov.
