Fairfax County Library ELL Online Events

The City of Fairfax Regional Library offers several English language programs including:

Weekly English Conversation Groups

English conversation groups for all speaking levels meet every Tuesday morning and evening at the City of Fairfax Regional Library. An intermediate level group meets on Thursday evenings. All groups are for adult non-native English speakers.

Although not formal instruction, the sessions provide practice speaking and listening to the English language. Registration is not required.

  • Tuesday mornings 10:30am—12:00pm (All levels)
  • Tuesday evenings 7:00 pm—8:30 pm (All levels)
  • Thursday evenings 7:00 pm—8:30 pm (Intermediate)

One-on-One English Conversation Practice

The City of Fairfax Regional Library also offers one-on-one English conversation practice with a volunteer tutor several times a week. New appointments become available every Monday morning at 10:00am. For an appointment:

United States Citizenship Class
