Things to do at the Library
Learn and have fun: More than 200 adult events are offered each month including author talks, wellness activities, reading programs, writers groups, lectures, crafting and technology workshops. Pick up an events calendar or read it online to see what events are planned each month.
Other things to do include book clubs, participating in Great Decisions discussions and volunteering. You can also join a Friends group and help out at the next book sale or other event that supports the library. The Virginia Room has specially trained staff to help you research your family tree.
Things to do Online
Connect with us online. You can read magazines on your computer or tablet free via RBDigital and ebooks are free via Overdrive. You can donate to the Fairfax Library Foundation or buy the library a book through the Amazon.com wishlist. Track your portfolio with free access to online resources such as Morningstar Investment Research Center and Value Line, find great books to help plan your retirement and more. Don't forget to follow the library on Facebook and Twitter and engage with other readers in your community.
