Dr. Robin Hanson, associate professor of economics at George Mason University, will discuss his newest books.
"The Elephant in the Brain" examines our hidden motives and how they influence our society. "The Age of Em" is about the future of artificial intelligence design based on the structure of the human brain. It's subtitle: "Work, Love and Life When Robots Rule the Earth," offers a glimpse into the intriguing theories of Dr. Hanson as he imagines a future world run by robots. Dr. Hanson's themes reflect an inter-weaving of decades of expertise in physics, computer science, and economics. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
