Library Alert:
Calling all teen artists! Flex your creativity and share your skills with the library and county communities by participating in the annual Teen Cover Art Contest. To go along with this year's Summer Reading Adventure theme - "It's Showtime at Your Library!" - the 2019 contest is celebrating books that have been made into films or television shows.
To enter, choose a book that’s been adapted for the screen and redesign the cover, being sure to include the title and author in your design. First place and runner up prizes will be awarded in categories for grades 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12, and winning artwork will be featured on bookmarks available in the library branches during Teen Read Week (Oct. 13-19).
Submissions are due August 2 via mail to the Fairfax County Government Center, drop off at your local branch or email to LibTeenServices@fairfaxcounty.gov. Click here for full contest guidelines.
