Mount Vernon’s 30th Annual Town Meeting was held on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Mount Vernon High School.

After the Posting of Colors by the Mount Vernon High School JROTC, the National Anthem was sung by the Harmony Heritage Singers, followed by the Pledge of the Allegiance, Supervisor Storck welcomed everyone, and introduced elected officials and appointees who were in the audience.

Next, we heard presentations:

Congressional Updates: U.S. Congressman Gerry Connolly, 11th District ; U.S. Congressman Don Beyer, 8th District

County Priorities: Sharon Bulova, Chairman, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
Financial Forecast, Fairfax County: Ed Long, Fairfax County Executive
Fort Belvior Update: Joe Richard, Fort Belvoir, Director of Public Affairs
FCPS Update: Karen Corbett-Sanders, Mount Vernon District School Board Representative

Supervisor Storck presented a Virtual Fly-Through of the Mount Vernon District, focusing on the current and future projects of the Mount Vernon District.
