Get to Know Your Local Government


Join a variety of county agencies to learn more about your local government, the programs and services it provides, and how YOU can play a critical role in shaping the future of your community. This FREE community development program includes an overview of Fairfax County Government as well as in-depth breakout discussions about specific programs, services, ordinances and other topics of interest to your community.


Learn about volunteer opportunities and how to become involved in processes for ongoing planning and coordination with the local government.  Also develop an understanding of community resources such as transportation, public safety, land use and zoning compliance, health and human services, and more.
