The Fairfax County Office of Elections is mailing a sample ballot beginning this week to each of the county’s 727,000 registered voters.
The mailer also offers other helpful information, including:
- Ways to request a mailed ballot
- Early voting locations and hours for those who choose to vote before Election Day
- Each voter’s assigned polling place on Election Day
The sample ballot is individualized for each voter to show the contest that will appear on their ballots.
It is intended to inform voters before they cast their ballot, allowing them to record their choices in advance and assist them as they vote their ballots.
All information is provided in English, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese.
WHAT’S ON THE BALLOT?
The following offices are on the ballot for the Nov. 2 general election:
- Governor
- Lieutenant Governor
- Attorney General
- House of Delegates
There is also a $360 million public school bond on the ballot.
The mailer lists the location and hours for every early voting site where you can cast your ballot before Election Day. Remember, the last day to vote early is Oct. 30.
It also shows how to request a by-mail ballot by the deadline on Oct. 22.
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 2, the polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the mailer provides you with the location for your assigned polling place.
