Our consumer affairs team joins federal, state and local agencies to provide free events for National Consumer Protection Week, March 5-11. These educational events provide you with tools and resources to understand consumer rights, navigate the marketplace and make informed decisions.

The Virginia Department of Treasury’s session, Unclaimed Property, will return virtually on Monday, March 6. This popular event helps county residents find thousands of unclaimed dollars.

On Consumer Affairs Day, Thursday, March 9, you're invited to learn about tenant-landlord rights and responsibilities, funeral planning, and scams in-person at the Government Center from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is free, but registration is requested. Call 703-222-8435, TTY 711 or email consumer@fairfaxcounty.gov.
