New Deputy County Executive Discusses Land Use, Transportation and More

Rachel Flynn, deputy county executive, has 35 years of experience in both private and public organizations as an architect, urban planner, director of planning/building/economic development and as a real estate development executive. She comes to Fairfax County from Google, where she was the director of design management, planning and entitlements. She also has prior governmental experience having served in positions in Lynchburg, Richmond and Oakland, Calif., as well as working abroad in Abu Dhabi.
