safetrack logo

Orange Line commuters will experience severe service disruptions between the Vienna and West Falls stations for 42 consecutive days, Sept. 15 to Oct. 26, during Metro’s SafeTrack Surge 9, its longest to date.

  •  Orange Line trains will continuously single track during weekdays. Trains to/from the Vienna Metrorail Station are likely to be extremely crowded.
  •  Complete station closures will occur on weekends. Free shuttle service will replace trains during these times.

The Metro service disruption is also expected to have a major impact on rush hour traffic on several highways including I-66, the Beltway, I-95 and the Dulles Toll Road.
