The Office for Children is working in collaboration with the Fairfax County Health Department and other Health and Human Services agencies to ensure that accurate and helpful information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is provided to both early childhood programs and families. Below you will find resources available to the early childhood community. Please check back often as this information will continue to be updated.

4/20/2021: CARES IV grant award will be provided by Virginia Department of Social Services for programs who received CARES I, CARES II or CARES III grants. Click here for more information. 

Vaccination Information

  • Child Care Center staff and Family Child Care providers in Fairfax County, City of Fairfax and City of Falls church, are now able to register to receive the COVID vaccine. Registration information was emailed to eligible programs on 1/27/21. Programs can update their email contact with OFC by emailing NCSCEPS@fairfaxcounty.gov.
  • Fairfax County COVID-19 Vaccine Information –For current health information and many answers of your questions or concerns.

  • Text FFXCOVID to 888777 to receive updates from Fairfax County about COVID-19.
  • Email questions or concerns to ffxcovid@fairfaxcounty.gov. This email account is staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. through 6 p.m.
