The brand-new picnic shelter and stewardship education pavilion opened on Saturday, April 27 at Riverbend Park in Great Falls. The new shelter will provide a terrific space for a host of activities. More than 300,000 visitors come to this park annually, including thousands of local school children, and scouts who meet with naturalists and explore the natural world long the Potomac River.
