Collage & Photography at Huntley Meadows

(16-Adult) Artist Kathryn Coneway leads students in creating art inspired by the beauty of Huntley Meadows Park, combining collage explorations of color and texture with imagery from photos taken in the park. The class will include time walking and observing in nature, as well as time creating in the classroom. Participants will work in layers over several weeks and learn practices with mulberry paper, acrylic and photo transfer. Class meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for four weeks. All supplies are provided. Finding the Park

Due to known issues with GPS units, please use the street address if you are following GPS to the park.

Huntley Meadows has three entrances. The main entrance is at 3701 Lockheed Blvd, Alexandria VA 22306.  There is a parking lot, and during Visitor Center open hours there is access to restrooms, an exhibit area, and staff naturalists. There is a small parking area at 6901 South Kings Highway, Alexandria, Va., that leads to a paved, one-mile woodland hike-bike trail. Historic Huntley is at 6918 Harrison Lane, Alexandria Va.
