Explore the riparian forest of the Pohick Stream Valley on a “Stream Valley Hike” at Hidden Pond Nature Center.
See firsthand the flora and fauna that make up this great ecosystem and learn how the system filters water in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Along the way, search for wildlife residents, such as turtles, snakes and frogs.
The program runs from 10 to 11 a.m. on two days – Saturday, July 18 and Saturday, Aug. 15. The cost is $7 per person, and the hike is designed for explorers age 7 to adult.
Six-foot distancing and face masks will be required for safety. Apologies, but the bathrooms will not be open. This program will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms.
Hidden Pond Nature Center is located at 8511 Greeley Blvd., Springfield, Virginia. For more information, call 703-451-9588 or visit Hidden Pond Nature Center.
