Join a virtual program from the folks at Hidden Pond Nature Center to learn why it’s important to keep streams and creeks healthy and discover how to gauge their health.
During the “Is Your Stream Healthy?” program on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020, a naturalist will explain how aquatic macroinvertebrates (bugs) are used to measure the health of a stream. Learn to identify some of these critters and play a game to simulate a catch in the stream. The program runs from 1 to 2 p.m., and the cost is $10 per person. All ages are invited to join.
Participants will need to prepare supplies beforehand, including printing and assembling paper game cubes. A template and instructions will be provided upon registration.
