Go Slow and Steady to Burke Lake to Study Turtles

TurtlesThey may not be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but Fairfax County has some pretty “Terrific Turtles” of its own. Learn about them in the “Terrific Turtles” program at Burke Lake Park on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020.

Join a naturalist to meet and learn about the turtles that live around Burke Lake and other parts of the county. Then, hit the trail in search of these native turtles. The program runs from 10 to 10:55 a.m. This program is designed for participants age 5 to adult, and the cost is $10 per person. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Meet at the campground office.
