County Parks Host Virtual Programs by Request

Virtual programThe Fairfax County Park Authority is creating programs just for you. The park agency is offering virtual versions of its popular park programs, and many of them can be scheduled for your convenience.

These on-demand and by-request programs can fit schedules for teachers, scout leaders, parents, homeschool co-ops and other groups or families looking to connect with nature and history from the comfort of home. Virtual programs can be requested for scout badges, birthday parties, field trips, or presentations of nature and history.

The Park Authority has established a website for requesting a program. Once a request is submitted, a park staff employee will be in touch to arrange a program with a naturalist or historian at a time that will fit your schedule.

Programs are interactive and may include live animal presentations, games, and a question-and-answer session. By-request activities can take place via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Scheduled virtual programs can be found at Parktakes Online.
