On Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., head out to Ellanor C. Lawrence Park for ParkeMon Community Day. This is an opportunity to capture the Pokemon and win great prizes from the host of sponsors. Bring the family to catch the Pokemon, take pictures of Pokemon posters in the park and then come spin a prize wheel! This event is free.
Prizes are provided by local businesses and corporate supporters, including Jersey Mike’s, Nike, Sweet Frog, Tony’s Pizza, Starbucks, Mission BBQ, Buffalo Wing Factory, Chateau de Chantilly and others. The event is sponsored by the Ellanor C. Lawrence Park Friends.
Ellanor C. Lawrence Park is a 650-acre park in western Fairfax County. The park's habitats include forests, streams, meadows and a pond. Inside the Walney Visitor Center, you will learn about the natural and cultural history of the park, see live reptiles and amphibians, and enjoy children's hands-on activities. Outside the Visitor Center, explore pollinator gardens, a historic kitchen garden and historic structures.
